Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Slack administration, automation, and API development to enhance collaboration and productivity across Pinterest. In this role, you will manage and optimize Slack at scale, develop secure and compliant solutions, and leverage AI-driven automation to streamline workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and engineering, to integrate Slack with other enterprise systems while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and optimize Slack for Pinterest, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Develop and implement governance frameworks to manage Slack workspaces and enforce enterprise policies.
Build and deploy Slack-based automation solutions using APIs, bots, and AI to enhance team collaboration.
Integrate Slack with enterprise systems, third-party tools, and internal applications.
Lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Stay current with emerging trends in collaboration technologies, AI automation, and Slack development best practices.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years in enterprise Slack administration, including security, compliance, and governance.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, etc.) and strong knowledge of API development and integration.
Automation Expertise: Experience with agent-based automation and AI-driven strategies within Slack.
Leadership: Ability to lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, security, and business teams.
Problem Solving: Strong strategic thinking and innovation in collaboration technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience implementing AI-driven automation within Slack.
Familiarity with enterprise IT security and compliance requirements for collaboration tools.
Strong scripting skills for automation and workflow optimization.

Additional Information:

Work Model: Remote with occasional in-office collaboration (1-2 times per quarter).
Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Salary Range: $129,818—$267,272 USD (based on location, prior experience, and skills).
