🧭 Role Overview

Atlassian is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a React/.NET product engineering team focused on Jira Align, our enterprise Agile planning solution. You will manage a team of 10–18 engineers and work cross-functionally with design and product management teams to create seamless user experiences that drive customer success.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, refine team strategy, and drive delivery across distributed teams in a cloud-first environment.

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive product development and feature delivery in partnership with Product and Design.
• Define team goals and execution strategies aligned with Jira Align’s roadmap.
• Promote engineering excellence, automation, and quality across the stack.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Champion process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and team satisfaction.
• Support cross-functional alignment and deliver business-critical outcomes.

🎯 What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years in engineering leadership roles with proven team-building skills.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
• Strong background in building and scaling SaaS-based platforms.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex features.
• Effective communicator with high emotional intelligence and organizational influence.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage risks, drive execution, and deliver measurable results.

⚙️ Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft tech stack (.NET, C#, scripting).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure—AWS or Azure.
• Ability to perform code reviews and provide architectural guidance.
