💼 Your Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our data ecosystem, helping to build robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines that power intelligent decision-making across Empower. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, product, and risk teams to shape our data infrastructure and unlock critical insights.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, secure, and high-performance code in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Design and optimize scalable batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure deployments.
• Champion data governance and enforce quality standards across datasets.
• Develop internal tools to support analytics, risk, and product teams.
• Drive Empower’s data-first culture by enabling cross-functional data accessibility.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with large-scale data systems.
• Strong expertise in SQL, dbt, Databricks, and modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Solid background in building and debugging batch/streaming data pipelines (Kafka/Azure Event Hub).
• Familiarity with warehouse technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse.
• Clear communicator with an owner’s mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
