Our Viator Experiences Engineering team is distributed across Europe, maintaining Viator’s website, mobile apps, and supporting infrastructure. We help operators build their businesses and enable third parties to access our inventory, all while providing tools for world-class customer service for travelers and operators.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join our fast-growing, remote-first team. This hybrid role is based in Krakow. As a part of the team, you will work alongside product managers and designers, taking part in the full development cycle from software design, coding, testing, deployment, and iteration. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days, with a daily release cycle.

This is a full-stack role focused on front-end development, though you will occasionally work on backend projects. While prior backend experience is a plus, it is not required. You should be eager to learn and grow in backend technologies on the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality, scalable software.
• Work on both front-end and backend projects, with a primary focus on front-end development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process, helping to release code regularly to production.
• Learn and work with various technologies in Viator’s tech stack, including Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS.

Qualifications

• A passion for technology and willingness to learn.
• Some experience with frontend development, with an interest in backend technologies.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, React, and other web development tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• An eagerness to work collaboratively and learn from peers.
