🌟 Position Overview

As a Software Developer on the AI Accelerator (AIA) team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure to support AI and machine learning tools on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, guiding architectural decisions for scalable, secure, and reliable cloud application designs. The role also includes working on CI/CD pipelines and improving cloud-native technologies to drive the success of AI-driven projects.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure for AI and ML tools within the AI Accelerator
• Architectural Guidance: Evaluate technical approaches and present trade-offs to guide decision-making for AI projects
• Cloud Services: Design and develop tools for public cloud service intake, CI/CD, and security
• Prototyping: Lead proof of concept efforts for new architectures and tools
• Knowledge Sharing: Communicate new ideas, technologies, and best practices across the organization
• Troubleshooting: Assist in stabilizing and improving application performance and infrastructure
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work on establishing required cloud frameworks and architectures for AI applications

🧩 Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another cloud provider, including application hosting, BigQuery, serverless computing (Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)
• DevOps & Security: Knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with modern DevOps practices and workflows
• Backend Development: Strong experience with building and integrating REST APIs (using frameworks like FastAPI)
• Programming: Practical experience in Python development for building scalable, data-driven applications
• Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD best practices, using tools like GitHub Actions and Cloud Build
• Monitoring & Logging: Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging within cloud-native ecosystems

🎯 Great-to-Have Skills

• Advanced expertise in GCP services, especially Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and BigQuery optimization
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.js
• Background in Python for data engineering, machine learning, or generative AI workflows

💰 Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range: $82,000 – $124,000
• Performance Bonus/Plan: 12%
