Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Software Architect to lead the vision and development of our Control Plane architecture. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will guide technical design and innovation across the stack, aligning systems engineering with product goals and driving consistency, performance, and resilience across the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the control plane architecture in alignment with product and business objectives.
  • Establish and advocate for architecture principles and standards across engineering teams.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional design decisions, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Conduct technical design reviews and mentor engineers in system architecture best practices.
  • Partner with product and engineering leads to define long-term technical strategy.
  • Evaluate and introduce scalable, observable, and testable technologies and frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality, production-grade code and set the standard in code reviews.
  • Potentially lead and mentor a small team of senior engineers on foundational initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven leadership in system architecture at scale (e.g., distributed systems, data processing).
  • Prior experience as a Senior Staff, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead.
  • Strong background in building scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making high-impact decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring or managing senior engineers.
  • Background in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep technical expertise in filesystems, databases, or storage platforms.
  • Familiarity with the Linux kernel and related system-level performance concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in storage or infrastructure-related product development.
