๐Ÿง  Meet the Perception Applications Team

The Perception Applications team is made up of elite experts in computer vision and machine learning. We build compute-efficient, multi-view, multi-sensor deep learning models capable of real-time object detection, segmentation, and classification. These perception systems serve as the eyes of our autonomous driving techโ€”driving everything from safety to decision-making on the road.


๐Ÿ” What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Develop and optimize spatio-temporal ML models for real-time environmental perception (e.g., detection, segmentation, classification)
  • Read cutting-edge literature and design state-of-the-art perception algorithms
  • Transition prototypes from lab to test tracks and real-world road conditions
  • Work hands-on in model testing, tuning, deployment, and productionization
  • Write efficient, clean, and modular software for perception stack components
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with robotics, autonomy, and systems teams
  • Operate with initiative in a high-velocity, innovation-first environment

๐Ÿ“Œ Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field + 4+ years experience
    (Or MS + 2 years, or PhD in relevant discipline)
  • Deep expertise in machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Proven experience building perception systems using camera, radar, LiDAR
  • Solid track record in computer vision, 3D perception, and point cloud processing
  • At least 3 years of software development using Python and/or C++
  • Experience deploying real-world computer vision software to production environments

๐Ÿ’Ž Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Familiarity with temporal CV models (e.g., video-based activity recognition, multi-frame inference)
  • Experience in autonomous driving or ADAS system development

  • Base Salary (CA Range): $174,000 โ€“ $261,000 USD
    (Final offer based on experience, skill level, and location)
