Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team responsible for creating and maintaining Squarespace’s frontend applications. This role will involve working on high-impact features that directly affect the user experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Frontend Development: Design, develop, and maintain frontend features for Squarespace’s product offerings, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement user-friendly interfaces and features.
Optimize Performance: Focus on improving the performance and scalability of the frontend applications, ensuring a smooth experience for all users.
Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and grow within the organization.
Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and engineering standards.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and trends, applying them to enhance the product’s functionality and user experience.

Qualifications:

Experience: 4+ years of experience in frontend software engineering with a strong focus on building scalable and user-centric applications.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with web performance optimization and testing frameworks is a plus.
Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, product management, and backend engineering.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on building intuitive and efficient user interfaces.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
