💼 Role Overview

Google’s software engineers are responsible for developing technologies that shape how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Chrome Identity team, you will work on critical features for Chrome’s desktop and mobile platforms, including user-facing components like the account menu, Chrome profile picker, and the first-run experience. You’ll lead a team of engineers while collaborating closely with UX peers to refine product requirements and ensure high-quality delivery.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on Chrome Identity features across both desktop and mobile platforms.
✅ Own the design, implementation, and launch phases of key projects impacting the Chrome UI.
✅ Collaborate with UX peers to define and refine product requirements and features.
✅ Contribute directly to coding efforts that drive project success.
✅ Work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to tackle new challenges across the full-stack.

🎯 Required Qualifications

🔹 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
🔹 5+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in programming languages and data structures/algorithms.
🔹 3+ years of experience in software testing, maintenance, and product launches.
🔹 At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
🔹 Strong background working with embedded operating systems.
🔹 Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

🔹 Experience in UI design and implementation.
