💼 Team Overview – Reporting & Issue Management
This team is a core pillar in Vanta’s move upmarket. We’re replacing fragmented spreadsheets with structured, collaborative workflows and building robust, Snowflake-powered, event-driven reporting systems. These capabilities give enterprise customers visibility, traceability, and confidence in their security operations.
As a senior engineer, you’ll:
- Design intuitive Issue Management workflows
- Build and maintain Snowflake-based data pipelines
- Lead greenfield product development alongside product and design teams
- Ship systems that deliver enterprise-grade visibility and decision-making power
🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Own complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives that deliver meaningful customer and business impact
- Set architectural direction across critical technical surfaces to support scale
- Develop backend services and APIs using modern frameworks: TypeScript, Node.js, React
- Lead by example in engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers
- Deliver production-grade infrastructure and data capabilities (Snowflake, Terraform)
✅ Qualifications & Experience
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering roles
- Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, scalable data modeling, and pipeline development
- Proven experience managing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong grasp of designing secure, performant, and maintainable systems
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and technical leadership
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with data-driven products in compliance, security, or enterprise SaaS
- Prior experience working on Issue Management or enterprise reporting platforms
💸 Compensation & Benefits
U.S.-Based Employees:
- Salary range: $179,000 – $211,000 USD
- Equity in a fast-growing company
