- Lead Strategic Security Initiatives: Define and execute GRC strategies aligned with corporate goals and compliance requirements.
- Cross-Departmental Partnership: Collaborate with engineering, legal, compliance, and product teams to embed scalable security practices.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify and address enterprise risks with data-driven strategies.
- Governance & Reporting: Continuously evaluate security programs and report on the effectiveness of Atlassian’s security posture.
- Technical Leadership: Promote innovation, automation, and modern methodologies in security engineering.
- Stakeholder Influence: Engage with senior leaders to integrate security into broader business strategy and decisions.
🎯 What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering or risk management within a SaaS/product-led environment.
- Strong background in application security, cloud security architecture, and infrastructure security.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams at scale.
- Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex risk concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in driving large-scale compliance and governance initiatives.
- Familiarity with security certifications (e.g., OSCP/E, CISSP, CRISC) is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting tools like SQL, JQL, Python, Go for automating repeatable security tasks.
💰 Compensation
Atlassian’s compensation framework ensures transparency and competitiveness across regions:

| Zone A | $252,200 – $336,200 |
| Zone B | $227,000 – $302,600 |
| Zone C | $209,300 – $279,100 |
