💻 Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Ads Engagement Modeling team. This team is responsible for optimizing ad engagement, particularly for CPC (Cost-Per-Click), through innovative machine learning models. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be involved in developing state-of-the-art models and driving new features to improve Reddit’s ad marketplace. You’ll work on everything from model architecture to feature engineering, helping shape the future of ads ML at Reddit.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance models for critical machine learning tasks such as CTR (Click-Through Rate) prediction and video view modeling.
- Research, test, and implement innovative machine learning architectures, including deep neural networks with advanced pooling and feature interaction designs.
- Develop powerful features using Reddit’s diverse data sets (dense, sparse, behavioral, and content data) via techniques like embedding, aggregation, and sub-models.
- Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration across teams.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Ads Engagement Modeling team and the broader machine learning community at Reddit.
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years experience building deep learning models at an industry level.
- 3+ years with popular machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with the end-to-end lifecycle of training, evaluating, testing, and deploying machine learning models.
- Proven ability to iterate large-scale neural network models in production environments.
- Strong experience in feature engineering and developing data-driven models.
- Familiarity with the Ads domain is highly desirable.
