Position Summary:

Formlabs is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the company’s annual budgeting cycle and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves leading budget and headcount negotiations, offering financial guidance to various departments, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy, utilizing tools like Adaptive Insights and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual budgeting process and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead budget and headcount negotiations across departments to align with organizational goals.
  • Maintain an accurate payroll model for precise forecasting.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, Services (S&M), and Systems and Finance (G&A) teams, offering financial insights for business decisions.
  • Oversee contract review processes for software licenses, driving cost-saving initiatives through vendor consolidation.
  • Manage monthly operating reviews, P&L reviews, and investor financial presentations for the executive team.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Analyze deviations in financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain the Adaptive Insights enterprise planning platform to improve processes and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to streamline processes, develop automation tools, and improve reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
  • Experience with producing reports using Adaptive Insights, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Experience creating, managing, and optimizing complex financial models, including sensitivity analyses and scenario planning.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), including revenue recognition, accruals, and expense matching.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
