🧑‍💼 Position Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing and automating infrastructure and deployment processes to ensure the seamless delivery of software solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of critical systems, leveraging cloud technologies and automation.


🔧 Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure for various applications and services.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, ensuring smooth integration across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure efficient and smooth software releases.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize AWS services for reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and conduct regular audits of AWS environments.
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/EKS.
  • Document processes, configurations, and system designs to ensure operational continuity.

📌 Requirements

  • US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps.
  • Ability to travel to DC a minimum of 1x per week if required.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, IAM.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools: Chef, Puppet, SaltStack.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, VPNs.
  • Passion for optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

💼 Additional Information

This position currently allows for remote work but may transition to an onsite requirement at Amivero’s designated office location. The remote policy is subject to change based on business and operational needs.
