Principal Algorithm & Signal Processing Researcher
Location: Woburn, MA

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Algorithm & Signal Processing Researcher to lead the development and application of cutting-edge algorithms for signal detection, classification, autonomous sensor decision-making, radar electronic warfare, and more. You will work directly with customers to address their critical needs, manage a team of researchers, and collaborate with engineering teams to deploy innovative systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with customers to understand their unique needs and tailor solutions to meet national security objectives.
Design and apply advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques for radar and RF sensing.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the development of prototype systems, pushing the boundaries of technological capabilities.
Guide research teams, utilizing technical expertise and leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and driving the direction of new projects.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) or radar programs, with a focus on developing sensor systems and advanced signal-processing algorithms.
2+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: RF/radar signal processing, machine learning, optimization, waveform design, AI/ML algorithm development, and systems engineering.
Proficiency in scientific programming languages like MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
Strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance.
Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline.
Experience with radar and RF technologies, especially in defense applications.
Familiarity with machine learning tasks like natural language processing, image recognition, and reinforcement learning.
Previous leadership experience in complex research and development projects.
