π Team Overview β CoCaM (Catalog and Content Management)
As part of the Content Platform R&D studio, the CoCaM team is the backbone of content operations at Spotify. We ensure content availability, accuracy, quality, and policy compliance at scale. We manage decisions that directly impact creators, users, and Spotifyβs platform integrity through proactive and reactive data-driven mechanisms.
π What Youβll Do
- Lead the full ML lifecycle: research, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration of ML solutions
- Work on diverse projects, including supervised learning, reinforcement learning, and LLMs
- Integrate models into production workflows in partnership with engineering teams
- Monitor and optimize model performance, identify improvements, and ensure high impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, data science, research, and product teams
- Document pipelines and standardize machine learning processes
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the ML community at Spotify
- Contribute to a scalable, reliable infrastructure for ML systems powering the Spotify platform
π― Who You Are
- 2+ years of professional experience building and deploying ML models in production
- Strong coding skills in Python or Scala; hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent ML libraries
- Practical knowledge of ML techniques such as classification, regression, clustering
- Skilled in SQL, Pandas, and data preprocessing at scale
- End-to-end understanding of data pipelines, from ingestion to feature engineering and evaluation
- Proficient in evaluating models with proper metrics, testing protocols, and performance tuning
- Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and ML service stacks
- Clear communicator β able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Growth mindset, problem-solving orientation, and a proactive, team-first attitude
