💼 Role Overview

Insightsoftware is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide and manage a team responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of Enterprise Performance Management products. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. 🔑 Key Responsibilities

✅ Technical Leadership: Lead the team in software development, design, architecture, and code quality. Guide team members through PoCs, code reviews, and technical mentorship.
✅ Product Development: Ensure the best technical design and approach are applied in collaboration with Product teams. Lead cloud-based application development, from POCs to productization, ensuring optimal quality, security, and performance.
✅ Team and Process Management: Enhance team processes for maximum efficiency, manage development sprints, conduct 1:1s, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement.
✅ Agile Execution: Oversee the entire SDLC within an Agile-SCRUM framework, ensuring projects meet delivery commitments.
✅ Database Management: Make necessary database changes, optimize complex queries, and develop maintainable code in .Net, C#, Angular, and SQL.
✅ Cross-team Collaboration: Resolve engineering impediments, lead code reviews, and participate in architecture discussions.

🎯 Required Skills and Experience

🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
🔹 10+ years of experience in web application development using .Net, C#, and SQL.
🔹 2+ years of experience in team leadership and people management.
🔹 Expertise in SQL, Entity Framework, and writing/optimizing complex queries and stored procedures (preferably in Oracle DB).
🔹 Experience in developing RESTful APIs and familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
🔹 Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, GIT, and code best practices.
🔹 Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions.
🔹 Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a small-team environment.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

🔹 Exposure to reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
🔹 Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, SASS/CSS, Angular, and Typescript.
🔹 Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure or AWS.
🔹 Experience in the financial domain is a plus.
