Team Overview
The Business Strategy & Operations team drives mission-critical initiatives across the organization. We enable product innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centric outcomes by supporting Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing through Strategy, Business Planning, and Business Systems Development.
Role Overview
As an Insights Analyst within the Customer Analytics team, you will transform customer data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision-making. Your work will empower Customer Experience (CX) teams, Product Managers, and Senior Leaders to elevate our end-to-end customer journey.
This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role requiring strong analytical horsepower, a bias for action, and polished stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- KPI Reporting:
Design, develop, and maintain high-impact KPIs, build stakeholder dashboards, lead monthly operational reviews, and contextualize emerging customer experience trends. - Strategic Business Partnering:
Act as a data subject matter expert (SME) across CX and product teams; translate analytics into clear, actionable insights to influence continuous improvement initiatives. - Deep Dive Analytics:
Conduct in-depth analysis on customer behavior, product pain points, and support experiences to surface opportunities for operational and experiential excellence. - Roadmap Execution:
Collaborate with CX and CSO leadership to align analytics deliverables to strategic business priorities. - Data Storytelling:
Communicate complex findings clearly through compelling narratives that articulate both the “what” and the “why.”
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in data-centric roles.
- Expertise in SQL, statistical analysis, and quantitative modeling techniques (e.g., regression).
- Proficient in data visualization (e.g., Tableau) and querying large datasets (e.g., Databricks).
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives and navigate ambiguity.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship management skills (up to VP level).
- Analytical mindset with a knack for creating compelling, actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Unwavering attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Familiarity with Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake.
- Experience with Python/R and Git workflows.
- Proficiency with survey design, analysis, and customer experience metrics.
- Prior work involving web analytics and behavioral data.
Compensation
- Zone 2 Salary Range: $123,900 – $167,700 USD
- Zone 3 Salary Range: $110,200 – $149,000 USD
Note: Dropbox determines compensation based on location, skillset, and role level. Salary is one part of Dropbox’s competitive Total Rewards program.
