Role Overview:
MissionWired is seeking a Fundraising Data Manager to join the data services team. This role involves managing the movement and processing of data to support our clients’ fundraising efforts, including political campaigns and global nonprofits. You will work closely with the client services team to ensure data segmentation, automation, and reporting are efficiently handled to maximize fundraising impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom SQL scripts within client-owned data warehouses (e.g., Civis Platform, SQL Server, BigQuery) based on marketing segmentation plans.
- Generate reports based on data captured in marketing segmentation plans for internal teams or clients.
- Extract data segments and upload them to the relevant file transfer system.
- Manage CRM tasks, including campaign setup, effort creation, and batching new fundraising gifts.
- Ingest datasets into client CRMs using built-in tools, third-party ingestion tools, and data warehouse connectors.
- Monitor and maintain ETL/ELT processes in the client’s data warehouse.
- Build and maintain automation workflows and custom integrations (e.g., Python scripts, SFTP connections, data transformations).
- Develop and maintain analytical dashboards using tools like Tableau.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of experience in data warehouse systems (Civis Platform, SQL Server, MySQL, BigQuery).
- 2+ years of advanced SQL experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or BigQuery).
- Proven ability to manage data conversion, cleansing, and reporting.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical clients.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems in a high-volume environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with fundraising CRM platforms (Salesforce NPSP, Blackbaud, NGP, EveryAction, Raiser’s Edge).
- Experience with fundraising direct marketing data.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes in modern data warehouses.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
- Experience with version control tools (GitHub, BitBucket).
- Experience using dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Background in marketing agencies.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $73,000 – $80,000 per year (based on experience).
