Key Responsibilities
- Fraud Analytics: Analyze new account creation attempts and investigative findings to identify fraudulent trends and patterns within Login.gov’s partner ecosystem.
- Strategic Insights: Utilize data analytics to inform program strategy, fraud policy tuning, staffing, and acquisition of new technology to combat evolving identity fraud threats.
- Collaboration: Work with DevOps and SecOps teams to enhance the data infrastructure, engineering, and software supporting the fraud analytics program.
- Fraud Model Development: Develop and maintain models to detect identity fraud, account takeover, and synthetic identity fraud.
- Monitoring & Detection: Continuously monitor fraud analytics, establishing anomaly behaviors and indicators that trigger actions.
- Third-Party Integration: Incorporate relevant data from third-party tools to improve fraud detection models.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report the performance of fraud analytics models to ensure their effectiveness.
- Fraud Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies for fraud risks.
- Reporting: Develop dashboards to report key performance indicators (KPIs) and suspicious activity alerts.
- Fraud Response Planning: Develop and maintain a fraud response plan, including scaling procedures, scenario planning, and response management for potential fraud events.
- KPIs & Reporting: Establish and report on KPIs such as alert outcomes, fraud type, and time to clear alerts.
Requirements
- Citizenship: US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience with entity resolution and fraud/identity operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workspace, SQL, Python, and data analytics tools.
- Data Visualization: Experience creating dynamic dashboards using Tableau.
- Database Knowledge: Skilled in both relational and non-relational database systems and architecture.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and superior organizational abilities.
- Autonomous Work Style: Ability to work independently, producing high-quality work while contributing to team goals.
- Adaptability: Quick to adapt to changing priorities, new policies, procedures, and software tools.
- Problem-Solving: A passion for identifying and solving problems with effective solutions.
