About the Role:

Join GoDaddy as a Director of Security Engineering and become an Information Security Leader, driving key contributions to our customers while enhancing our business growth. You will oversee the Product and Offensive Security teams’ strategies and manage large-scale, cross-company security challenges. Collaborating closely with development and operational teams, you will communicate security risks and develop solutions for complex problems while aligning with our core values of customer focus, owning outcomes, and working fearlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy for the Product and Offensive Security teams, shaping the company’s security direction.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define the product and penetration testing strategy for both the first and third years.
• Define and implement the overarching Security Engineering strategy with a risk-based approach.
• Track company-wide risk reduction through security metrics from the Product and Offensive Security teams.
• Resolve complex security events, policy questions, and technical risks through proactive leadership.

Required Experience:

• 12+ years of progressive experience in security engineering across multiple domains such as Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security.
• Expertise in leading cross-company security programs.
• Strong skills in secure development lifecycle practices, including security by design methodology and “shift left” practices.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of security engineering processes and offensive security methodologies.
• Ability to translate high-level security goals into actionable, micro-level use cases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
• Industry experience in hosting or cloud services.
