🔍 Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure while automating and optimizing our development and deployment processes. You will work in Agile teams, contributing to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and full-stack deployment workflows.
You’ll support both the platform and engineering teams in maintaining system uptime, deploying secure and scalable cloud environments (primarily AWS), and ensuring operational excellence through automation and proactive monitoring.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Automate deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring with Bash, Python, or other scripting tools
- Administer and secure Linux-based environments
- Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), ensuring performance, availability, and cost-efficiency
- Configure and maintain web servers (e.g., Nginx), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching/search systems (Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Collaborate with developers and architects on infrastructure design and deployment strategies
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configuration, processes, and procedures
- Ensure compliance and security across cloud infrastructure
🔧 Required Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Linux server administration
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Proficient in setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with Git, Nginx, SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Elasticsearch, and Redis
- Sound understanding of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure as code
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
