Role Overview

Join Deloitte’s Core Business Operations (CBO) portfolio to provide cutting-edge technical solutions that accelerate mission execution. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you’ll deliver impactful technology solutions in a VMware virtual environment while ensuring operational excellence for clients in a dynamic, 24/7/365 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, administration, and monitoring for Linux, Microsoft, and Mac systems in VMware environments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems while distinguishing isolated user issues from enterprise-wide application/system problems.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to analyze, develop, and implement incident ticket solutions.
• Prepare reports for root cause analysis, technical assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 environment, including on-call support during outages.
• Update operations and monitoring documentation for 24/7/365 Watch personnel.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work onsite 100% of the time at one of the specified locations.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering within the Public Sector.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts (e.g., Dell VXRail).
• Experience with Tier 2 system administration (Linux CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu; Microsoft Server 2012 R2/2016).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Linux Shell scripts, PowerShell, or PowerCLI.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $144,600 to $268,000, depending on factors such as skills, experience, and location. Employees may also qualify for discretionary annual incentives, subject to performance criteria.
