Deloitte’s Government and Public Services Cyber (GPS Cyber) practice is seeking a Cyber Security Architect (Senior Consultant) to support critical federal missions. You’ll design, implement, and lead cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions across Strategy, Identity, Infrastructure, Application Security, and Data verticals—transforming the way government entities secure their digital frontiers.
🛠 Key Responsibilities

Implement and optimize risk management programs using frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, and FISMA

Architect secure systems and develop hardening playbooks for federal systems and emerging AI capabilities

Conduct security assessments and recommend technical controls to improve threat defense and system resilience

Support continuous monitoring, incident response, and advanced threat mitigation initiatives

Deploy and manage state-of-the-art cybersecurity tools for public sector clients

Lead Secure AI architecture discussions and integrate AI solutions securely into critical systems

Collaborate with executives, stakeholders, and project teams to align cybersecurity posture with mission goals

Author technical documentation and compliance reports for audits and assessments

Promote cyber awareness by designing training content and leading security best practices across teams
🧠 Who We’re Looking For
✅ Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred)

4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, with at least 3+ years in solution architecture

Strong working knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, and federal cyber frameworks

Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices (e.g., incident response, endpoint security)

Familiarity with Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP—1+ platform required)

US work authorization (No sponsorship)

Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance

Previous experience in federal consulting or professional services

🧾 Compensation
For applicants based in Washington, DC, the estimated salary range for this role is:
💲**$107,663 – $179,438**, plus discretionary annual performance bonuses.
