Atlassian is on the hunt for an experienced Data Science Manager to lead high-impact analytical initiatives that drive our Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. In this role, you’ll collaborate across Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Executive teams, applying advanced analytics to optimize customer engagement, inform product roadmaps, and influence business outcomes.

🎯 Responsibilities

🌍 Strategic & Cross-functional Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders across GTM and product teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to inform and execute business strategies.
  • Use data storytelling to communicate insights across all levels, including executive leadership.

πŸ“ˆ Analytical Impact

  • Drive key decisions through quantitative analysis, experimentation, and predictive modeling.
  • Forecast trends and monitor KPIs to evaluate product and marketing performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and craft data-backed strategic recommendations.

πŸ§ͺ Methodology & Technical Rigor

  • Lead development of hypotheses using analytical frameworks and statistical methods.
  • Apply advanced statistical models such as regressions, clustering, and A/B testing.
  • Leverage SQL and programming tools (Python/R) to analyze large-scale datasets.

🧠 Team Leadership

  • Manage and grow a high-performing team of 4+ data scientists.
  • Provide coaching on technical, business, and soft skills.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.

🧳 Qualifications

βœ… Required

  • 8+ years in data analytics, data science, or related fields.
  • 2+ years managing a team of 4 or more.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics language (Python, R).
  • Proficient in tools like Tableau, Looker, Mode, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques for experimentation and modeling.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear, actionable insights.

🎯 Preferred

  • Experience mentoring teams through open-ended, complex business challenges.
  • Track record of building strategic relationships with senior business leaders.

πŸ’° Compensation

At Atlassian, our pay ranges are designed to be equitable and transparent. Depending on your U.S. location, base pay ranges are:

  • Zone A: $201,300 – $268,400
  • Zone B: $181,200 – $241,600
  • Zone C: $167,100 – $222,800
