What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines to support business reporting and analytics.
- Work with ETL/ELT processes to clean, transform, and efficiently move data across systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using tools like Datadog or other solutions.
- Contribute to data quality by identifying anomalies and supporting regular audits.
- Assist in implementing modern data architectures, including data lakes and cloud data warehouses.
- Write clear documentation for data processes, pipeline logic, and data definitions.
- Learn and apply best practices in data security, scalability, and performance.
- Use version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions) for pipeline development and deployment.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing queries for reporting or data analysis.
- Some experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic understanding of data warehousing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and interest in learning cloud-based services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue).
- Interest or basic experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Talend).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and eagerness to learn DevOps practices.
