TELUS Health is driving digital transformation in healthcare, and we’re looking for a Data Engineer Consultant to build scalable data solutions that power AI, analytics, and proactive healthcare services. You’ll help engineer the backend that informs smarter healthcare decisions, optimize data pipelines, and support advanced ML use cases across the organization.


πŸ”§ What You’ll Do

  • Design and maintain data analytics dashboards for Product & Services stakeholders.
  • Engineer, test, and deploy automated data pipelines for visualization and analysis.
  • Analyze network telemetry data to assess customer impact and service quality.
  • Develop, validate, and help deploy AI/ML models for predictive customer support.
  • Utilize spatial reporting techniques to deliver geo-specific business intelligence.
  • Write advanced SQL queries and integrate data across diverse systems.
  • Translate data into actionable business insights and support decision-making.

βœ… What You Bring

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, and data warehousing.
  • Strong development experience with Python, including building scalable applications.
  • Advanced SQL expertise and fluency in visualization tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and tools like BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Cloud Build.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or similar).
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of telecom or network infrastructure data is a plus.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

  • Experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on with multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • GitHub experience for version control and collaboration.

  • Salary Range: $86,000 – $130,000 CAD
  • Performance Bonus: 12% annual target
