💼 Position Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS – L2 Support) to join our Managed Services team in Islamabad. In this role, you’ll manage AWS cloud environments, serve as the initial point of technical escalation, and ensure consistent performance, availability, and cost-efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting client environments, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement through proactive monitoring and collaboration with senior engineers.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure based on customer requirements
- Provide Level 2 support for AWS services—handle incidents, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems
- Monitor cloud environments using tools like AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail to identify and address performance or security concerns
- Collaborate with Tier 3 support and engineering teams to resolve complex incidents and implement service improvements
- Maintain and update operational documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and deployment workflows
- Conduct usage reviews and recommend cloud resource optimization to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Participate in the MSP’s on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operational support
- Stay up to date on AWS advancements and integrate best practices into client environments
✅ Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2–5 years of cloud engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS
- Proficiency in core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda
- Preferred certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Prior experience delivering Level 2 technical support and handling incident response
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring and incident management tools
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and compliance standards
- Self-starter with strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently or in cross-functional teams
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (morning, evening, and night)
