π§βπΌ Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Avionics Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software design, development, and testing, particularly in the context of avionics systems. This role will involve developing software for next-generation autonomous flight systems in accordance with aerospace industry standards, including DO-178C.
π§ Responsibilities
- Design and develop modular software components to support autonomous flight systems.
- Implement software following aerospace industry standards such as DO-178C.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Maintain software development and configuration control practices to ensure reliable delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers to meet customer requirements and deliver high-quality systems.
- Write tests and design for testability to ensure robust and dependable software.
π Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in software development and avionics systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with DO-178C software implementation and verification.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, including modern techniques.
- Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with aeronautical interfaces (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 825).
- Experience with Linux.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
π‘ Preferred Experience
- Experience with formal methods for safety analysis and certification.
- Practical knowledge of ARINC 653 APEX.
- Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
- Background in the development and testing of UAVs and mobile robots.
- Experience with full development lifecycle of production-scale applications.
