Job Title: Senior Data Implementation Engineer

About the Role:
Join our team at 1upHealth as a Senior Data Implementation Engineer, where you’ll leverage your expertise in information science to design, develop, and test our software products. You will play a critical role in configuring our technical software platform, deploying new technical offerings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver top-tier solutions to our customers. Your work will involve data engineering, ETL processes, and ensuring the seamless integration of new products, all while mentoring junior engineers and driving software implementation best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize the company’s software platform to meet customers’ technical needs.
- Perform ETL data processing and FHIR validation for our software products.
- Deploy and manage new solutions, including payer and provider offerings.
- Collaborate with data engineering, API, implementation, and customer success teams to meet project deliverables.
- Enhance tools developed by the software engineering and data teams.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional and technical growth.
- Research and stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and FHIR updates to improve our software implementation processes.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for troubleshooting, ensuring best practices are followed to resolve issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software and data engineering, including:
- ETL software development.
- Building and maintaining scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Assisting with software process improvement and new product integration.
- Using relational SQL, NoSQL, Spark, EMR, and AWS tools (e.g., DynamoDB, Athena/Glue, Lambda, EC2).
