🔍 About the Role

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team under Platform Engineering. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive on automating infrastructure, enhancing observability, and ensuring service reliability at scale. You’ll be instrumental in supporting millions of endpoints across a global cloud-based architecture.

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application-level issues
• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations, Agile SCRUM ceremonies, and deployment planning
• Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and provide solutions to application teams
• Drive availability improvements using leading observability tools
• Advocate for secure, best-practice architecture during technical design reviews
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge bases
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment with scripts and tools
• Contribute to software tooling for improved efficiency across the engineering lifecycle

🧠 What You Bring

• ✅ 7+ years in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or SRE
• ✅ 3+ years in object-oriented programming (Java, .NET, or C++)
• ✅ Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• ✅ Proficiency with observability platforms like New Relic, Splunk, or DataDog
• ✅ Deep hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, ECS, Fargate, ALB/NLB, etc.)
• ✅ Infrastructure-as-Code expertise — primarily CloudFormation; bonus points for Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CDK
• ✅ Solid grasp of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate) and microservices
• ✅ CI/CD pipeline knowledge and familiarity with SDLC best practices
• ✅ Strong communication and collaboration skills
• ✅ Security-conscious mindset with a passion for automation and self-service
