Position Overview:
As a Senior Application System Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the Personalized Offers Program within the Loyalty Solutions team. This role involves bridging business requirements with technical teams to deliver, support, and evolve Sobeys’ Loyalty and Offers capabilities, ensuring platform reliability, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & System Analysis:
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
- Document platform flows, data integrations, business rules, and system behaviors for offer management.
- Design and implement improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Identify and document technical and operational requirements for proposed solutions.
Project & Enhancement Delivery:
- Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of enhancements.
- Lead sprint planning and prioritization in AgilePlace.
- Develop test plans with detailed test cases and provide accurate time and effort estimates.
- Assist with story refinement and release readiness discussions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Regularly sync with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of platform capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business objectives into system requirements.
Production Support & Sustainment:
- Serve as an escalation point for production issues and coordinate resolution.
- Manage incidents in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Optimize Azure resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure system stability and compliance with security standards.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including architecture diagrams and service definitions.
- Contribute to a culture of shared knowledge and cross-training within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in system analysis.
Strong understanding of system integrations, API interactions, and data flows.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, AgilePlace, ServiceNow, New Relic, and Confluence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional and vendor environments.
Experience in retail, loyalty, or marketing technology is preferred.
Familiarity with Azure, microservices, or cloud-native applications is a plus.
Experience with personalized offer platforms or marketing automation tools is an asset.

Work Model:
This position requires at least three days per week in the office as part of our hybrid work model, ensuring team collaboration and office culture success.
