Job Title: Senior Security Incident Response Analyst

Role Overview:
Atlassian is seeking a Senior Security Incident Response Analyst to safeguard our corporate environment and cloud services. As a senior member of the team, you will lead security incident responses, conduct threat hunting, and collaborate across teams to enhance the security posture of Atlassian’s systems and products. This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of incident management, and the ability to drive security improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Incident Management: Lead and act as an escalation point for security incidents, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide updates. Participate in on-call rotations and conduct post-incident reviews to identify improvements.
- Investigation and Analysis: Analyze log data from various sources, conduct threat hunts, research threat actor tactics, and lead forensic analysis and evidence collection.
- Technical Solutions & Automation: Develop technical solutions to reduce incidents, create and maintain automation tools, and document security incident response procedures.
- Advocacy & Training: Advocate for security best practices, conduct security training, and lead tabletop exercises and simulations to assess incident response readiness.
What We Look For:
- Experience: 5+ years in security domains (Operations, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Research, etc.), with a proven track record in incident management and investigation.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming (Python, Ruby, Java, Go) or scripting for security tasks, along with experience in cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Specialization: Experience in areas such as malware analysis, threat hunting, network analysis, forensics, or cloud endpoint analysis.
- Project Management: Ability to manage and deliver security projects from start to finish.
- Community Engagement: Contributions to the security community or open-source projects.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: 256,000 PLN — 342,000 PLN annually
- Additional Benefits: Eligible for bonuses, commissions, and equity.
