Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, optimize, and automate infrastructure and deployment solutions. You will collaborate with development teams to enhance CI/CD processes, manage scalable infrastructures, and deliver client-focused solutions. Your deep technical expertise and understanding of operational workflows will be crucial to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD workflows using tools like GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Containerized Environments: Manage Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to enhance container orchestration.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Operate and optimize AWS and Google Cloud infrastructures, focusing on automation and scaling.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Develop deployment solutions using Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Scripting & Automation: Automate processes with Bash scripting; familiarity with additional languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, Go) is a plus.
- Security & Performance: Ensure compliance, security, and performance across DevOps environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams and customers to improve system architecture and resolve technical issues.
- Customer Interaction: Provide technical consulting, requirements analysis, and solution implementation for clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Introduce new technologies and best practices into the DevOps field.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 6+ years in DevOps or SRE roles focusing on automation and cloud infrastructure.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in AWS and Google Cloud services.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Skilled in tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Scripting: Advanced Bash scripting abilities.
- Customer Engagement: Experience in consulting and support roles.
- Monitoring Solutions: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Languages: Strong communication in German (C1 level or above) and English.
Preferred Skills
- Previous software development experience in languages like Java, Ruby, Python, or PHP.
- Understanding of DevOps security best practices.
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and modern infrastructure trends.
