Position Overview:

Pinterest is looking to expand its Design Innovation team, particularly the Prototyping function. As a Prototyper, you will collaborate with UX Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to create high-fidelity prototypes that test concepts, engage users, and inform product development. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, shaping the future of Pinterest’s user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop high-fidelity prototypes in collaboration with researchers, designers, and product managers to support concept and usability testing, and demos.
Identify and explore innovative prototyping solutions for new concepts and technologies.
Communicate design decisions to internal stakeholders.
Participate in design thinking and brainstorming sessions to generate and refine ideas.
Adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in building high-fidelity user-facing prototypes.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in front-end development languages and platforms such as React/React Native, Javascript, SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Flutter, Websockets, HTTPs/HTTP, APIs.
Platform Knowledge: Experience building for web and mobile apps (iOS and/or Android).
Project Management: Ability to convert requests into detailed prototyping plans, including timelines, milestones, and execution methods.
Design Process: Deep understanding of design thinking and the design development process.
User-Centered Design: Strong grasp of user interaction and motion design principles.
Testing & Iteration: Experience designing, building, and iterating on prototypes based on user testing.

Additional Information:

Work Model: Hybrid (1-2 times per month in-office collaboration).
Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
