π About the Role
Atlassian is on the hunt for an experienced Data Science Manager to lead high-impact analytical initiatives that drive our Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy. In this role, youβll collaborate across Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Executive teams, applying advanced analytics to optimize customer engagement, inform product roadmaps, and influence business outcomes.

π― Responsibilities
π Strategic & Cross-functional Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders across GTM and product teams.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to inform and execute business strategies.
- Use data storytelling to communicate insights across all levels, including executive leadership.
π Analytical Impact
- Drive key decisions through quantitative analysis, experimentation, and predictive modeling.
- Forecast trends and monitor KPIs to evaluate product and marketing performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and craft data-backed strategic recommendations.
π§ͺ Methodology & Technical Rigor
- Lead development of hypotheses using analytical frameworks and statistical methods.
- Apply advanced statistical models such as regressions, clustering, and A/B testing.
- Leverage SQL and programming tools (Python/R) to analyze large-scale datasets.
π§ Team Leadership
- Manage and grow a high-performing team of 4+ data scientists.
- Provide coaching on technical, business, and soft skills.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
π§³ Qualifications
β Required
- 8+ years in data analytics, data science, or related fields.
- 2+ years managing a team of 4 or more.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics language (Python, R).
- Proficient in tools like Tableau, Looker, Mode, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques for experimentation and modeling.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear, actionable insights.

- Experience mentoring teams through open-ended, complex business challenges.
- Track record of building strategic relationships with senior business leaders.
π° Compensation
At Atlassian, our pay ranges are designed to be equitable and transparent. Depending on your U.S. location, base pay ranges are:
- Zone A: $201,300 β $268,400
- Zone B: $181,200 β $241,600
- Zone C: $167,100 β $222,800
