πΌ Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Analyst to lead the Sales Strategy and Analytics efforts at Atlassian. You will be responsible for designing and developing frameworks to model business motions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. Your expertise will support business growth through data-driven recommendations, executive presentations, and ongoing strategy refinement.
π― Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop frameworks for modeling business motions such as crossflow, expansion, and upgrades, including seat expansion, edition upgrades, and price increases.
- Partner with finance, marketing, and product teams to align on forecasts, assumptions, and methodologies.
- Use data to provide insights that inform and adjust strategies and tactics quickly.
- Conduct executive analyses and strategic planning, including QBRs, senior leadership presentations, and pipeline/bookings analysis.
π― Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics, consulting, or data analysis.
- Strong expertise in modeling using Google Sheets and Excel, with the ability to build models for forecasting business motions.
- Ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems, extract insights from data, and communicate findings clearly with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.
- Proficient in data management and SQL, capable of integrating multiple data sources.
- Experience proactively collaborating with management teams to prioritize, develop, and execute quarterly sales strategy plans.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-making across various functions and levels of seniority within the organization.
π Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base pay within the following range, based on location:
- Zone A: $149,000 – $198,700
- Zone B: $134,100 – $178,800
- Zone C: $123,700 – $164,900
- Eligibility for bonus, commission, and equity.
