About the Role 🔧

As a Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer, you will design and build the backbone of Dropbox’s infrastructure, ensuring seamless scalability, reliability, and performance across our flagship products. Your work will power mission-critical applications and enhance user experiences for millions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities 🎯

✅ Develop infrastructure to handle metadata for billions of files and petabytes of user data. ✅ Architect and optimize Dropbox’s analytics platform to extract meaningful insights from vast datasets. ✅ Enhance interoperability across applications, devices, and services to expand Dropbox’s global connectivity. ✅ Drive long-term infrastructure strategies and innovations to improve performance, reliability, and security. ✅ Lead cross-functional collaborations, addressing complex technical challenges at scale. ✅ Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring high availability of critical services.

Requirements 📌

🎓 Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 📌 Experience: 8+ years of software development experience in large-scale backend systems. 🖥 Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, C/C++, Java and experience with OS internals, filesystems, databases, and networks. ⚡ Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive business-impacting projects. 🔎 Leadership: Experience defining technical roadmaps and long-term strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications ⭐

✔ Proven experience managing large-scale distributed systems. ✔ Background in designing and optimizing high-performance infrastructure. ✔ Strong analytical and debugging skills across multiple platforms.
